Your tasks and activities will be according to the needs of the hospital at the given time. You will be playing a vital role in the continued development of the hospital and its region as a whole.

Not only will you be a part of its ongoing renovation and construction, you will also have the chance to assist in some mild nursing work, such as comforting patients, washing linen, gardening and assisting the porter. Although seemingly small, these are all important roles, vital to the successful running of the hospital.

Your interactions with staff members and patients will not only be beneficial for your development and experience, but it will also be good for the staff and patients who are always grateful for your friendly input!

Aims & Objectives

  • Support the hospital with construction and renovation work
  • Make new friends and develop useful life skills

If this is your first week at the project, your day will begin with a full introduction of the staff and the hospital. At this point you will also discuss your upcoming role at the project. You will be introduced to the equipment and the operational procedures present at the hospital. You will also be assigned to a staff member who has high proficiency in the English language and they will guide you around the hospital.

Tuesday to Friday

Depending upon the needs of the hospital at the time, you will assist with the construction and renovation work and comfort patients where possible. The hospital also has regular meetings, which you will attend to discuss and improve the needs and performance of the hospital. Your input is vital and required as different perspectives will help with the long term success of the hospital.

This schedule can be changed and/or amended depending on weather conditions, local conditions and unforeseen circumstances.
