Rural communities away from large cities often lack support from the government in terms of infrastructure development and maintenance. Most families only have enough to feed themselves with what they grow but are still affected by occasional food shortages and malnourishment. House repairs are not common as the priority is working the farms in order for their children to have food to eat.

Local communities do not receive funding from the government meaning lack of support in schools, healthcare centers, village hall, churches, etc.

During this project, you will be working in construction and renovation at these locations. Your tasks will be determined depending on the current needs, which may include building sinks, water tanks, repairing chairs, etc.

In addition, you will also get the opportunity to help in a feeding/nutrition project aimed at the local children.

Please note this trip may require you to purchase a cultural experience week with it. Click Here to find the relevant cultural experience week based on the country where this trip operates in.
