Our Tourist Development internship is practical and project based. You’ll assist us in our goal to  develop local regions, making it more attractive for both local and international tourists. You’ll be working with a provider with 20+ years of organizational experience worldwide.

This unique experience will let you practice any theoretical knowledge and training you’ve gained in a classroom. Our internship provides:

  • Study-affiliated work experience
  • International exposure
  • Practical skills training
  • Knowledge accumulation
  • Teamwork skills
  • All while making a worthwhile contribution to the community.

Your work will be coordinated by an English-speaking local with an established background in tourism. The coordinator will guide, supervise and assess you. They will also help out with the language barriers that may exist among local partners.

This internship is open to those from a wide variety of studies. Naturally, it is more worthwhile for those with studies affiliated to tourism. But it is also suitable for those with an economics background, since feasibility assessments of plans are always needed.

Students with sociological or anthropological studies are also welcome to assess the impact that our work could have on the local community and social environment. Our projects tend to be suitable as a subject for research papers, thesis and dissertation, so feel free to suggest

Cultural Introduction

Not only will we guide you during your internship, but we will also introduce you into the local culture and customs. After all, you will be spending quite some time here and it is important to know about your surroundings!

That’s why your first week will be an introduction program where you will learn about the local culture, language and customs through activities such as cooking lessons, local handcraft making and excursions to iconic places.

It is designed to immerse you as much as possible with local people and culture and to encourage cultural exchange between teammates, helping to quickly integrate you in your new surroundings.

  • An English language working environment, plus a local language when applicable
  • Meaningful internship/work assignments geared to enhance learning and impart skills that are relevant to the intern’s field of study
