Our Journalism internship is practice-based and you, as an intern, will supply articles written in English for a local Thai newspaper every other week. You will be required to write articles and reports about local events, interesting developments going on in the area and so on. This unique experience will enable you to utilize your theoretical knowledge and training, previously gained by long hours in a classroom, in practice within the field. This opportunity is open for those interested in journalism and writing who wish to develop their skills while at the same time contribute to society and spend some time overseas.

This internship collaborates directly with local Thai newspapers for which the articles and reports need to be written based on careful research and reports in the field. A minimum of 25 hours should be allocated for the internship per week.

Our internship provides study-affiliated and international work experience, practical skills training, knowledge accumulation and teamwork skills while at the same time making a worthwhile contribution to the community and organization.

Your work will be coordinated by an English-speaking local with an established background in journalism. The coordinator will guide, supervise and assess you. Moreover, the coordinator will help out with the language barriers that may exist among local partners.

Cultural Introduction

Not only will we guide you during your internship, but we will also introduce you into the local culture and customs. After all, you will be spending quite some time here and it is important to know about your surroundings!

During the first week, you will take part in an introduction/culture program where you will learn about the local culture, language and customs through activities such as cooking lessons, local handcraft making and excursions to iconic places.

Our programs are designed to immerse you as much as possible with local people and culture and to encourage cultural exchange between teammates to let you fully integrate you in your new surroundings.
