There is only one School in La Digue and one kindergarten. English education is not an integral part of the official curriculum. However, you will contribute to teaching primary-school children with English at a basic level. The mainstay of the Island is Tourism and it supports the current generation of the community but does not adequately address the employment of the coming generations. Your interaction with children would create a positive impact especially for their careers ahead with an addition of English proficiency & a global perspective added by participants from all over the world.
