This program will give you an overview of Perak, first day of the week will explore the historical town of Taiping. Followed by Kuala Sepetang the next day to observe the life of fishing village, visiting a traditional charcoal factory. On the 3rd day you will visit Kuala Kangsar the royal town of Perak, visiting one of the traditional palaces and a gallery showcasing the royal artifacts. On the 4th day, travelling to Ipoh capital of Perak being named the 6th Best of Asia by lonely planet this year, followed by Lumut beach in the afternoon, will be staying a night in Lumut before visiting Pangkor Island one of the most beautiful islands on the west coast of Malaysia the next morning.

The aims & objectives is to get familiar with the local cultures and customs before commencement of your community engagement project.


Highlights: Orientation / Explore Taiping Historical Town / Do(s) & Don’t(s)

Taiping, also called rain-town for being the wettest town in Peninsular Malaysia, one of the oldest town with 33 Firsts, such first railway, first museum, first Anglican Church…the list goes on....


Highlights: Visit Kuala Sepetang / Bahasa Learning/Eagle sighting/Mangrove visit/traditional charcoal factory visit

Kuala Sepetang is a traditional fishing village where you will find one of the most well preserved mangrove areas in Malaysia. It is a peaceful village, people are friendly, and mainly Chinese descendants live in the village.


Highlights: Visit Kuala Kangsar / Local Arts Market

Kuala Kangsar is the Royal Town of Perak. This is the town where the Royal Family of Perak resides.


Highlights: Ipoh / Lumut Beach/Cave temples

Ipoh, capital of Perak is being named the 6th Best in Asia by Lonely Planet recently.

Lumut is noted for seashell and coral handicrafts, once a little fishing town, gateway to Pangkor Island. You will spend a night in this beautiful town.


Highlights: Visit the Pangkor Island of crystal clear water and white sandy beaches

One of the most beautiful islands on the west coast of Peninsular Malaysia, is the home to 65 reptile, 17 amphibian and 82 herpetofaunal species.
