On this exciting program, participants will be involved in important work to maintain and preserve Mahajanga’s wildlife heritage, by working with a private lemur species rehabilitation center. As a conservation participant, you will learn first about this Madagascar’s flagship species especially the ones which are endemic to this North-Western part of Madagascar, with others representatives of unique fauna like Madagascar fish-eagle and Ploughshare tortoise. Preparing lemur species’ morning and afternoon food and feeding them after. But also cleaning lemur species’ cages. You will take part in construction of larger and more interactive enclosures for all of the lemur species.

Aims & Objectives

To contribute to the rehabilitation of lemur species unscrupulous persons have stolen from their natural habitats.

Monday to Friday

Your day will begin with preparing morning food to give to lemur species and feeding them. In the afternoon different diet is also prepared before being given to lemur species Cleaning lemur species’ cages by cutting grass or planting trees whose leaves are eaten by lemur species in the wild is also part of your missions and You will work on construction of lemur species’ cages. The aim is to have them larger so that lemur species can enjoy a better and close to wildlife in this rehabilitation center.

Daily activities will be planned by our coordinator on-site as per requirements and needs.

This schedule can be changed and/or amended depending on weather conditions, local conditions and unforeseen circumstances.
