Designed for our less adventurous travellers, the Bali Comfort Experience combines three weeks of relaxation and community work. Although similar to the Bali experience program, its relaxed pace caters to the needs of families travelling with children and older travellers. It allows for interaction with locals and a chance to engage with Balinese culture with activities such as Bali Batik painting and visits to temples and traditional markets such as the Sukawati Art Market.

The program is divided up as follows: Week 1: Introduction to Bali, Week 2: Community Work and Week 3: A week of relaxation

This may also be combined with one of our other programs on offer such as the Bali Beach Holiday or the Yoga/Meditation week. Our community work programs leave an indelible impression on most participants and as such if you grow to empathize with and love the work done there, we offer you the opportunity for a one-week extension to community work on request.

Please note this trip may require you to purchase a cultural experience week with it. Click Here to find the relevant cultural experience week based on the country where this trip operates in.

During 2017

Aims & Objectives

To immerse in the Balinese culture while relaxing and experiencing the beauty of the surroundings.

Week 1

On Monday, after having breakfast, you will receive an introduction about Bali traditions and culture followed by a walking tour on Monkey street and Ubud market. Once you return from the tour, you can relax for a while and have dinner. After your dinner, you will then leave to witness a traditional Balinese dance show.

After the breakfast on Tuesday, you will go on walking tour around a village where you can see the rice terrace and get a view of the local surroundings. Once you return from this tour for lunch, you will then have a Balinese language class which would come handy when travelling around the village. After the language lessons, you will have plenty of time to spend freely until dinner.

On Wednesday, after the breakfast, you will be able to strengthen your Bali language skills by taking lessons till lunch. Once you have lunch, you will be able to learn how a usual meal is prepared in Bali by learning to cook Balinese food at the cooking class. You can spend rest of the time freely.

After having breakfast on Thursday, you will learn to prepare traditional offerings to Gods in Balinese flower offering class. Once you have lunch, you will then visit Tirta Empul temple or Holy water temple with the flower flower offering basket which you learnt to make in the class. After the visit, you will come back to your accommodation for dinner.

On Friday, after having breakfast, the entire day is reserved for you to relax by the Kuta beach.

Free time for you to relax.

Week 2

Monday to Friday

During the second week of your stay in Bali, you will join the teaching program. During the weekdays, after having breakfast, you will engage in teaching. This teaching program will carry on till the afternoon and you will also enjoy your lunch in the break you get during the teaching program. However, Friday would be special for you as it would be the last day of the teaching program. Therefore, a small farewell party will be arranged for you at the end of the teaching program.

Free time for you to relax.

Week 3

The third week of your comfort experience would start on Monday by a visit to Kintamani - a volcanic area after having your breakfast. Once you reach Kintamani, you will be able to enjoy the views of beautiful Batur mountain landscapes and spice plantations. You will then come back to your accommodation for dinner.

On Tuesday, after having breakfast, you will be leaving for a spiritual tour in Ubud. During this tour, you will be able to get closer to the spiritual aspects of the Balinese culture. The two temples you visit during this journey would be Tirta Empul Temple (Holy water temple) where you will make the flower basket offering and Goh Gajah which is also known as the Elephant cave temple.

After having breakfast on Wednesday, you can enjoy Bali Batik Painting in your own style. This would be the only activity for the day as you will spend the rest of the day relaxing.

The special activity of Thursday would be the visit to the Sukawati Art Traditional Market after having breakfast. Once you do the painting, you can spend the day freely.

On Friday, you will enjoy a Balinese Massage after having breakfast. Since it would be the last day of your program, you will also have a farewell party at the house center after lunch.

This schedule can be changed and/or amended depending on weather conditions, local conditions and unforeseen circumstances.
