Overview of Croatia Coastal Cruising – Dubrovnik to Sibenik

This is something a little special: a boutique 8-day adventure cruise along the stunning Croatian Coast. You’ll be sailing in the M/S Royal Eleganza, a small ship with 16 well-appointed cabins, spacious sun deck, BBQ and outdoor bar. You’ll dock in the heart of port towns like Hvar and Korcula, drop anchor in secluded bays near Split for a swim off the boat, sail up the River Neretva into Bosnia and Herzegovina, and tuck into the freshest seafood in the Adriatic. It’s a whole new style of travel.

Trip Summary for Croatia Coastal Cruising – Dubrovnik to Sibenik

Start Location: Dubrovnik,   End Location: Sibenik

Countries Visited: Bosnia And Herzegovina, Croatia,
Meals Included: Breakfast: 7   Lunches: 5   Dinners: 3

    • Board a traditional vessel and sail up along the spectacular Neretva River, inland from Opuzen.
    • The trip includes an excursion to Krka National Park, where you’ll get a chance to swim in secluded pools and beneath waterfalls.
    • If you’re worried about long cruise days, this itinerary is a good choice. There are plenty of excursions, short walks and port stops, and the distance between islands is short.
    • While large cruise liners have to moor out at sea and commute into shore via tender, we drop anchor in the middle of port towns like Hvar or Korcula. You can hop on or off the boat as you please.
    • There’s nothing like diving into the aquamarine waters of the Dalmatian Coast. Weather permitting, our captain will be stopping the ship for regular swim breaks during the trip.
    • This itinerary includes a special detour to Mostar, in Boznia and Herzegovina. It’s not a stop featured on many Croatian coastal tours. You’ll see the town’s iconic bridge and have the chance to chat with local craftsmen and metalworkers.

Day 1 - Dubrovnik
Board the ship at 5pm and meet your crew and fellow travellers over a welcome drink and introductory meeting. Tonight, enjoy your first dinner on board.

Day 2 - Dubrovnik - Korcula
After an early breakfast, transfer to Dubrovnik’s Old Town for a walking tour with a local guide, including a walk on the city walls. Return to the ship and set sail for Korcula, enjoying an on-board cooking demonstration by our chef, followed by lunch. Arrive Korcula, birthplace of Marco Polo, in the afternoon for a leader-led orientation tour and a free evening. Your leader can assist with dinner recommendations.

Day 3 - Korcula - Badija - Trpani - Opuzen
Depart for Opuzen, enjoying breakfast on board and a mid-morning swim stop in beatiful clear turquoise waters near the small island of Badija, then continue on to Trpani. Transfer to Saint Hils Vinarija for a tour of the winery and a tasting, before returning to the ship and sailing to Opuzen. Tonight, perhaps have dinner on board or seek out a local restaurant.

Day 4 - Opuzen - Mostar - Opuzen
This morning, board wooden boats and sail up the River Neretva, enjoying local snacks along the way. Continue on to Mostar in Bosnia and Herzegovina by minibus. Take an orientation walk through the town, visiting a workshop specialising in traditional coffee sets and copper wall carvings on the way and enjoy some free time at your leisure. Stop at the Blagaj Teke Monastery then return to the ship for a barbecue dinner.

Day 5 - Opuzen - Hvar - Jelsa - Starigrad - Hvar
Sail into Jelsa on the island of Hvar and take a private transfer to a local beekeeper for a honey tasting and a walk through the nearby lavendar fields, then drive to Hvar town. Explore on a walk with your leader before continuing on to Starigrad in the evening.

Day 6 - Hvar - Split
Spend the morning sailing, arriving in Split in the early afternoon. Your leader will take you on a guided walk, then enjoy an afternoon of free time.

Day 7 - Split - Skradin - Sibenik
We’ve got an early start this morning, leaving Split at approximately 6.30am. After arriving in Skradin, transfer to Krka National Park, where we’ll board small riverboats for a trip through the park. Visit dramatic waterfalls and cool off with a refreshing swim, then return to the ship and continue on to Sibenik. Tonight, enjoy a farewell 4 course dinner with the captain and your travelling companions.

Day 8 - Sibenik
Your small ship adventure cruise along the Dalmatian coast ends after breakfast this morning.
