Changing Worlds has some very exciting placement opportunities to work in the 'adrenalin capital of the World'

It is in a town called Queenstown in South Island, New Zealand.

These three month placements start from June 2008. Opportunities include:
Paid ski placements
The season runs from June to October but can be flexible if the applicant has prior commitments for exams or university.

Successful applicants would be granted a free ski pass for the length of their contract and free snowboard lessons would be on offer.

Food would be subsidised and there is free staff transport from Queenstown to the slopes.

Workers will also get discounts at lots of bars, restaurants and shops around Queenstown.

The starting wage would be the New Zealand minimum wage of around $12 - $13 p/hr (GBP5-6) but it can go up dependent on performance.

Visa applications will be organised by Kevin who works for the Ski company in Queenstown, but it may require a visit to the New Zealand embassy in London to complete.

Applicants are requested to select two positions they would be interested in. These are: Food & Beverage, Guest Services, Lift Operations and Retail. No previous qualifications are needed.

Paid work at the airport
1. The Customer service staff (Check In/ Tarmac Passenger Supervision/ Business Lounge Functions) are on a 2 week roster with set duties.The starting rate is $14.54 The weekends are at overtime rates x 1.5 There are allowances paid and all uniforms and Protective equipment is supplied as are the required training courses. Dangerous Goods Security Tarmac Safety awareness Basic Gate and Check In functions Back Care course & Wheelchair awareness course As the working environment is classed as a Safety and Security environment all employment is conditional on obtaining a security and medical clearance.Expect to work an average 35 hours per week.

2. Ramp Staff ( Baggage Make Up/ Loading/ Cleaning & Tug Driving) are all on a 2 week roster and are able to shift swap.The starting rate is $13.50 The weekends are at overtime x 1.5 And have the same other requirements as the traffic staff. Ramp staff average 40 hrs per week and are paid various allowances depending on rostered duty but everyone is paid a  shift allowance and environment allowance, currently staff are taking home $450 - $500 NZD in the hand after tax.
