Volunteers should understand that they will be expected to work hard and that free time will be at a premium. During rest periods, however, you will get the chance to explore lush forests, relax and surf on the stunning beaches around Fort Dauphin or simply enjoy the restaurants and bars the town has to offer. All volunteers also visit Nahampoana nature reserve for the opportunity to get up close to some species of lemur.
