Tukums itself is a quiet little town with a few shops and bars to frequent during the week.

However at the weekend there is time to explore further. With Riga only one hour away it is well worth visiting the excellent bars and restaurants in the thriving city. The night life here is superb and you will never tire of the entertainment on offer.

Away from these hedonistic pleasures Riga has lots of interesting and old places of interest to visit.

Visits to the sandy beaches at Jurmala are beautiful (and very popular) during the Summer months. The fish markets are a wonderful culinary experience!

Latvia has first class roads and rail systems so that visits to neighbouring countries of Lithuania, Russia and Estonia are not impossible.

With home being just over an hour away and with cheap flights to London it is possible to pop home and see your mates too!
