Kumasi is a busy African city, nestled in the middle of the country. There is an old colonial feel about the centre. It has a number of colourful market places where food and gifts can be bought at discount prices!

If you are interested in a rural placement in a village we can organise this too but always suggest you start in Kumasi before 'going bush'.

Kumasi has good road and rail and (relatively cheap) air connections to the rest of Ghana. It acts as a central hub to the country.

During holidays you can should visit the interior of Ghana and take in the traditional Ashanti villages. You could go on Safari to the famous Mole National Park or you could relax beside the equatorial Atlantic Ocean at Cape Coast.
