The teaching placements are in and around the coastal city of Yantai in Shandong province in East China. This is an exceptionally safe city to live and work in. Changing Worlds has carefully selected a pool of fifteen schools in Yantai City where you enjoy a captive class of young and extremely enthusiastic learners.

We have a range of schools willing to accommodate volunteers – some are in the centre of Yantai city itself whilst others are in the suburbs. One school in Nanshan is some two hours bus drive from Yantai downtown along the freeway to the West.

The zoo placements are at the city zoo in Yantai. You are accommodated in a hostel within walking distance of the placement.
